Yielding-Drift

Definition:

A skill that harnesses external pressure to rotate or redirect the body, causing that pressure to slip away from its original point of contact.

Usage:

  • As a noun: “Practitioners never need to learn the skill of Yielding-Drift—it is the natural response of a fully Relaxed body, just as a ball never needs to learn to roll.”

Additional Notes:

Yielding-Drift is an extension of Flash-Suppression, though more defensive in nature. It arises when Flash-Suppression is mistimed or insufficient, allowing the body to remain elusive rather than meet force directly.
