Stick-to-Follow

Definition:

An ability to perfectly synchronize with an opponent’s movements—forward, backward, left, right, or in any direction—so that the two bodies seem seamlessly connected, neutralizing any incoming pressure or force from the opponent.

Usage:

  • As a noun: “When both sides execute Stick-to-Follow flawlessly, neither can borrow power, apply Flash-Suppression, nor escape the engagement, rendering other techniques ineffective.”

Additional Notes:

Stick-to-Follow is regarded as the highest skill in Taijiquan—not because it overpowers or deceives the opponent, but because it embodies the principle of being undefeatable through seamless harmony. It represents the moral and artistic culmination of Taijiquan practice.
