Sink

Definition:

A continuous mental command to Relax a body part so that its muscles—and even its joints—feel as though they are gently dropping downward. Sink primarily applies to the shoulders, allowing power from the torso to flow to the hands with minimal loss.

Usage:

  • As a noun: “Let the elbows maintain a Yi of Sink during the movement.”
  • As a verb: “When the shoulders Sink, the arms become naturally relaxed and heavy.”

Additional Notes:

Although the Yi of Sink induces deep relaxation, its true function is to generate Holding-Power instantly and adjust it precisely to match changing external pressures. The more relaxed the shoulders, the greater the Holding-Power they can summon.
